Let God Speak #18: A Savior For All Nations… For You

Matthew 2:1, “After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.”

A Savior For All Nations… For You

Did you know that the Magi didn’t come on Christmas Night? They came after. How long? Who knows. Weeks or months. But the more important part of the story is who they were. The Magi were foreigners and outsiders. They weren’t part of God’s people, Israel. They were wise men from a land far to the east. These outsiders believed and worshipped Jesus.

And they teach us that Jesus isn’t just a Savior for some people. Jesus is a Savior for all nations. He died for the sins of every single person in this world and forgives everyone. We all receive life through him.

That little voice in our head can really hurt us, can’t it? “I’m not worthy. No one likes me. I’m a terrible person. I’m not enough.” When we hear these voices in our head, go back to this story. See the kind of Savior you have. A Savior for all nations. And you are part of all nations. Jesus is YOUR Savior. He loves and cherishes you, forgives you, and gives you eternal life. Who wouldn’t want to hear more and more of such a wonderful story?
